I am Junyi (Joey) Zhou, a second-year Ph.D. student in Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong, advised by Prof. Chen Ma. I am currently a research intern with the WeLM Foundation Model Team, WeChat AI, Tencent. Before joining CityU in 2025, I received my B.E. in Computer Science from Northeastern University.

My research focuses on agentic AI, with the goal of building foundation-model agents that can solve complex real-world tasks. I am particularly interested in scaling long-horizon agentic tasks and environments, unlocking agentic capabilities of foundation models through post-training, and evaluating agent performance and reliability in complex scenarios.
